实验过程

5-(12-Methoxycarbonyl-dodecyl)-thiophene-2-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (75 mg, 0.13 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (2 mL). A 20% solution of NaOH in water (0.36 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. Water (10 mL) was added and the mixture was acidified by the addition of 2 mL of a 10% solution of NaHSO4 in water. The precipitate was isolated by centrifuge and dried in vacuo, to yield 5-(12-carboxydodecyl)-thiophene-2-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester, which was contaminated with some starting material was used in the subsequent step without any further purification.
