Методика

4-{[(2-Chloro-5,6-dimethyl-3-nitropyridin-4-yl)amino]methyl}tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ol (8.74 g, 27.7 mmol), 10% platinum on carbon (874 mg), and ethyl acetate (185 mL) were combined and placed under hydrogen pressure (50 psi, 3.4×105 Pa) on a Parr apparatus for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through a layer of CELITE filter aid and the filter cake was washed with 1:1 ethyl acetate:methanol. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to provide crude 4-{[(3-amino-2-chloro-5,6-dimethylpyridin-4-yl)amino]methyl}tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ol.
