실험 절차

To a solution of 5 g (0.013 mole) of 1[α-(4-chlorophenylsulfinyl)-2,4-dichlorobenzyl]imidazole dissolved in 50 ml of methylene chloride is added 2.7 g (0.013 mole) of m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid in small portions at 0°. The reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature overnight. Concentrated nitric acid is added dropwise until the solution becomes acidic. When the reaction mixture is diluted with anhydrous ether, a white precipitate forms which is collected by filtration to give 4 g of desired product, mp 149°-9° (dec.).
