2-Chloro-3-(2-fluoro-4-iodo-phenylamino)-isonicotinic acid was synthesized as outlined in General Method 1 and according to the procedure for the synthesis of intermediate 1 by reacting 4 mmol of 2-methyl-4-iodoaniline with 6 mmol 2-fluoro-3chloro-isonicotinic acid.
