실험 절차

1 g. of 3-(2',4'-dibromo-4-biphenylyl)-3-hydroxybutyric acid ethyl ester and 0.5 g. of potassium carbonate in 25 ml. of methanol are heated under reflux for one hour and the mixture is worked up to give 3-(2',4'-dibromo-4-biphenylyl)-3-hydroxybutyric acid, m.p. 118°-120°.
