실험 절차

A solution of 3.6 g of N-(4-cyclohexylphenyl)-S-methyl-isothiourea hydroiodide and 1 ml of 1,3-diaminopropane in 15 ml of amyl alcohol is refluxed for 21/2 hours. After distilling off the solvent the residue is taken up in methylene chloride and washed with dilute alkaline solution and water. The methylene chloride is distilled off and the crude final product is recrystallised from acetonitrile. The resulting 2-(4-cyclohexylphenyl)imino-hexahydropyrimidine has a melting point of 179°-181° C.
