실험 절차

A solution of 3-[2-n-butyl-1-{(2-chlorophenyl)methyl}-1H-imidazol-5-yl]-2-benzylpropanoic acid [Example 8] (0.5 g) was dissolved in methanol (100 mL) and treated with excess diethyl ether saturated with dry hydrochloric acid. The mixture was kept at 25° C. for 48 hours. The solvents were evaporated, the residue dissolved in a small amount of methanol. Crystallization was induced with diethyl ether. The solid was collected, washed with diethyl ether, and dried to afford 0.47 g (90%) of the title compound; mp 118.5°-120.5° C.
