실험 절차

A mixture of methyl (E)-3-[2-n-butyl-1-{(2-chlorophenyl)methyl}-1H-imidazol-5-yl]-3-methyl-2-propenoate (165 mg, 0.476 mmol) in methanol (10 mL) and platinum oxide (20 mg) was shaken under one atmosphere of hydrogen for 3 hours. TLC on silica gel with 6:4 hexane/ethyl acetate showed a homogenous spot with an Rf 0.54. The catalyst was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated to 154 mg (93%) of the title compound.
