Toluene was reacted with ethylene to produce ethyltoluene by passing a feed stream of toluene and ethylene (WHSV of 7.0 and 0.5, respectively) over 5.0 g of the Sr-P-ZSM-5 zeolite of Example 18 at 400° C. Conversion of toluene was 70.9% with 92.3% selectivity to the para isomer in the ethyltoluene produced.
