실험 절차

117.2 g of 2-(n-butylamino)-ethanol are placed in 300 ml of methylene chloride. Then 54.3 g of ethyl chloroformate are allowed to drop in during 1 hour at 30°-35° C. with ice-cooling. After stirring for an additional 2 hours, the methylene chloride is evaporated and the residue is distilled to yield pure ethyl (2-hydroxyethyl)-n-butylcarbamate; b.p. 112° C./0.1 Torr.
