실험 절차

To a suspension of L-(−)-Malic acid (100.0 g, 0.74 mol) in 2,2-dimethoxy propane (200 mL) was added PPTS (2.60 g, 15.11 mmol) at room temperature (25° C.). The reaction mixture stirred at same temperature over a period of 48 h. The resulting mixture was partitioned between water (1.0 L) and dichloromethane (2.5 L), the aqueous layer was extracted twice with dichloromethane (2×500 mL). The combined organic layers dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain colourless solid (75.0 g, 58%).
