실험 절차

0.93 g (1.80 mmol) 2-{[2-{(E)-[4-(diethylamino)phenyl]diazenyl}-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-1,3-thiazol-5-yl]methylene}-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-dione was dissolved in 20 ml acetonitrile. After addition of 0.5 g (3.70 mmol) dimethylsulfate, the mixture was heated under reflux for 24 hours. After cooling to room temperature the formed precipitate was filtered off and dried in vacuum at 40° C. to obtain a dark green solid.
