(S)-2-tert-Butoxy-2-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-methyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)quinolin-6-yl)acetic acid (7J) was prepared following the procedure used to prepare compound 1L of Example 1 except that (S)-2-tert-butoxy-2-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-methyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)quinolin-6-yl)ethanol (7I) was used instead of compound 1K. 1H-NMR 300 MHz, (CD3OD) δ 8.01 (s, 1H), 7.95 (d, 1H), 7.71 (d, 1H), 7.65-7.55 (m, 2H), 7.35 (d, 1H), 5.24 (s, 1H), 2.71 (s, 3H), 0.99 (s, 9H); LCMS-ESI+ (m/z): [M+H]+ calcd for C23H22ClF3NO3: 452.9. Found: 452.1, 454.1.
