(S)-2-tert-butoxy-2-(8-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-methylquinolin-7-yl)acetic acid (4J) was prepared following the procedure used to prepare compound 1L of Example 1, except that (S)-2-tert-butoxy-2-(8-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-methylquinolin-7-yl)ethanol (4I) was used instead of compound 1K. 1H-NMR 300 MHz, (CD3OD) δ 8.97-8.91 (m, 1H), 8.86-8.82 (m, 1H), 8.11 (s, 1H), 7.95-7.90 (m, 1H), 7.72-7.65 (m, 3H), 7.50-7.45 (m, 1H), 5.23 (s, 1H), 2.73 (s, 3H), 0.99 (s, 9H); LCMS-ESI+ (m/z): [M+H]+ calcd for C22H23ClNO3: 384.9. Found: 384.1, 386.1.
