実験手順

A solution of 1-(2-methylpropyl)-8-styryl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-4-amine (1.37 g, 4.00 mmol) in ethanol (40 mL) was added to a Parr vessel charged with 10% palladium on carbon (137 mg). The reaction was placed under hydrogen pressure (40 psi, 2.8×105 Pa) for six days. The reaction mixture was filtered through a layer of CELITE filter aid, and the filter cake was washed with ethanol. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was recrystallized from methanol to provide 0.300 g of 1-(2-methylpropyl)-8-phenethyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-4-amine as a white solid, mp 175–178° C.
