The title compound was prepared from 0.5 g (1.25 mmol) of 5-[((1-decylsulfonyl)amino)carbonyl]-3-methoxypyridine-2-carboxylic acid (cf. Example 25a)) and 0.46 g (1.5 mmol) of glycine 1-butyl ester tosylate (prepared from glycine, 1-butanol, p-tos.OH using toluene in a water separator). 0.31 g of product was obtained, m.p. 82°-85° C. (from diisopropyl ether/ethyl acetate (2:1)).
