実験手順

2-(4-Methoxy-phenylmethanesulfonyl)-2-methyl-3-phenyl-propionic acid was prepared starting from 2-(4-Methoxy-phenylmethanesulfonyl)-2-methyl-3-phenyl-propionic acid ethyl ester (3.5 g, 9.0 mmol) dissolved in methanol (50 ml) and 10 N NaOH (30 ml). The resulting reaction mixture was worked up as outlined in Example 9. Yield 930 mg, 31%. Colorless solid, mp: 106-108 C;. MS: 347 (M−H)+.
