実験手順

6.0 Grams (0.05 mols) of magnesium sulfate and 500 mL of toluene were added to 53.3 g (0.20 mols) of 8b-phenyl-1a,2,3,8b-tetrahydro-1,5,7-trioxacyclopenta[g]cyclopropa[a]naphthalene, and the mixture was heated at 80° C. for 2 hours. After cooled, the reaction product was washed two times each with 250 mL of water, and the organic layer was condensed under reduced pressure to obtain 5-phenyl-7,8-dihydro-5H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,3]dioxole-6-one represented by the following formula,
