実験手順

A suspension of ethyl acrylate, 1-nitrohexane, K2CO3, and Aliquat 336 (6 drops) is sonicated for 5 h. To the reaction is added Et2O. The reaction mixture is filtered, extracted with brine, dried over Na2SO4 (anhydrous), filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give a yellow liquid. The product is purified by column chromatography to give methyl 4-nitrononanoate.
