Following the procedure of Example 5(c) 3-(3-cyano-benzyloxy)-5-(4-cyano-phenoxy)-benzoic acid 0.75 g (2.02 mmol) and (2-piperidin-4-yl-ethyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.46 g, 2.02 mmol) were used to afford 0.7 g of the required product. Percentage purity (LCMS): 62.3%, (M+1)=480.2+1 (de-Boc mass, −100).
