Mode opératoire

5-[3-(n-Butylthiomethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylphenyl]-2-[1-(ethoxyimino)butyl]-3-hydroxycyclohex-2-en-1-one (59) was prepared from 2-butyryl-5-[3-(n-butylthiomethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylphenyl]-3-hydroxycyclohex-2-en-1-one and ethoxyamine hydrochloride following essentially the same procedure as that described in Example 1, part (iv).
