Mode opératoire

0.5 g (1.5 mmol) of 1-acetyl-3-(1-methoxy-1-phenyl-methylidene)-5-nitro-2-indolinone are dissolved in 20 ml of dichloromethane and after the addition of 0.57 g (4.5 mmol) of 4-chloroaniline stirred for 72 hours at ambient temperature. Then 3 ml of methanolic ammonia are added and stirred for 48 hours. After removal of the solvent in vacuo the residue is triturated with ether, suction filtered and dried.
