Mode opératoire

A mixture of methyl 6-benzoyloxy-2(RS)-bromo-hexanoate (e) (14.02 g), potassium fluoride (12.59 g) and acetamide (12.3 g) was stirred at 105° C. for 6 hours. The crude product obtained by treating in the conventional manner was subjected to silica gel chromatography to give the title compound (f) and methyl 6-benzoyloxyhexanoate (g) (3.11 g, yield: 29%).
