Mode opératoire

33.9 g of he oil obtained under (a) are hydrogenated in 100 ml of absolute tetrahydrofuran, with the addition of 13.6 g of Raney nickel, under normal pressure (hydrogen absorption=10.6 liters). After the catalyst has been filtered off, the filtrate is concentrated by evaporation, and then purified by means of chromatography (silica gel; hexane/ethyl acetate as eluant).
