LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+−CN of 388. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CD3OD, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 3.3 ppm) δ 8.32 (d, 1H) 8.27 (s, 1H) 8.23 (d, 1H) 7.75 (d, 1H) 7.62 (t, 1H) 7.55 (d, 1H) 7.14 (d, 2H) 6.71 (d, 2H) 4.38 (s, 2H) 3.92 (dd, 1H) 3.80 (d, 2H) 3.40 (t, 2H) 3.24 (t, 2H) 2.95 (t, 2H) 2.84 (t, 2H).
