Mode opératoire

A solution of 5.8 g (30.5 mmol) of 2,4,5-trifluoro-6-methylbenzoic acid, 4.7 g (37.0 mmol) of oxalyl chloride, and 100 ml of dichloromethane was treated with three drops of DMF. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for two hours, then concentrated to give 6.3 g of the title compound as an oily solid. The product was used "as is" in the next step.
