Mode opératoire

1000 ml of nitric acid was added to 623.23 g of calcium carbonate in a very slow manner in increments of 5 ml to obtain calcium nitrate and water. The mixture was then thoroughly mixed for 30 minutes for the complete conversion of calcium carbonate to calcium nitrate.
