Mode opératoire

90 ml of nitric acid was primarily mixed with 62.33 g calcium carbonate in a 100 ml beaker. The slow addition of nitric acid to the calcium carbonate resulted in the formation of calcium nitrate and water. To this mixture 180 gm of urea, 12.82 gm of aluminum nitrate, 3.33 g of iron nitrate and 12.7 gm of silica fume were added at their appropriate amounts based on the final percentage of individual components required for cement formation. All the raw materials were obtained from Fischer Scientific.
