Procedimiento

A 9.0 g portion of the product of Example 7 is dissolved in 46.5 ml of 2N sodium hydroxide and stirred for 45 minutes. The solution is neutralized with 2.7 ml of glacial acetic acid and diluted with 200 ml of ethanol. A yellow solid separates which is collected by filtration, washed with ethanol and ether, and dried to give 8.7 g of the product of the Example.
