Procedimiento

2-[o-(β-Dimethylamino-ethoxy)-styryl]-1-methyl-benzimidazole was prepared from 2-[o-(β-chloro-ethoxy)-styryl]-1-methyl-benzimidazole and dimethylamine, and the free base was converted into its dihydrochloride, yielding 18% of theory of the compound of the formula ##STR12## which had a melting point of 208° C.
