Procedimiento

To a solution containing 3-thiophenemethanol (0.45 g, 0.0033×1.2 mol) and sodium hydride (0.14 g, (ca.60% in mineral oil), 0.033×1.05 mol) in tetrahydrofuran, 2,6- dichloro-4-methoxypyridine (0.59 g, 0.0033 mol) was added and the resultant solution was refluxed for about 2 hours.
