Procedimiento

The procedure was carried out in the same manner as in Example 3, except that the crude compound (2-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-yl 6-bromo-5-hydroxy-3-oxohexanoate (7b, 80.0 g) prepared in Example 2 was used in place of (2-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-yl 6-chloro-5-hydroxy-3-oxohexanoate (7a, 80.0 g). The crude title compound was obtained (12.0 g). A portion of the crude compound was purified by silica gel column (ethyl acetate:n-hexane=3:7(v/v)) to obtain the following NMR data.
