Procedimiento

2 g. of 3-(2',4'-difluoro-4-biphenylyl)butyric acid are heated under reflux with 1 ml. of concentrated H2SO4 and 30 ml. of n-butanol for 7 hours. The mixture is evaporated and taken up in chloroform and the chloroform solution is washed with NaHCO3 solution, dried and evaporated to give 3-(2',4'-difluoro-4-biphenylyl)butyric acid n-butyl ester.
