Procedimiento

To a solution of [3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl](2-bromo-5-fluorobenzyl)amine from Step A (0.14 g) in methylene chloride at room temperature, excess methyl chloroformate (0.1 ml) and triethyl amine (0.1 ml) were added. The solution was stirred at room temperature for 2 h and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The title compound was obtained by flash column chromatography using EtOAc/hexane (1:9) as the eluant. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 500 MHz) δ 7.80 (s, 1H), 7.68 (s, 1H), 7.60 (s, 1H), 7.48 (m, 1H), 6.88 (m, 2H), 4.60 (m, 4H), 3.81 (s, 3H).
