Procedimiento

Methyl 3,4-dimethoxy-5-(2-propynyloxy)benzoate (390 g, 1.56 mol) in N,N-diethylaniline (0.4 L) was refluxed for 40 min. The solution was cooled and diluted with methylene chloride (2 L). The organic solution was extracted with 1N hydrochloric acid (5×1 L), dried (MgSO4) and concentrated to give title compound (390 g, 100%).
