Procedimiento

In 100 ml of methanol was dissolved 25 g of pentafluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride under cooling with ice, and 100 g of an aqueous solution of 25% tetramethylammonium hydroxide was slowly added thereto. The mixture was stirred for 3 hours at room temperature to obtain a solution of tetramethylammonium pentafluorobenzenesulfonate. The solution was used for salt-exchange with a sulfonium salt or an iodonium salt.
