Procedimiento

A suspension of 3,5-diacetylaniline (0.531 g) in water (10 mL) was treated with 6-chloropurine (0.464 g) and concentrated HCl (0.25 mL) and heated at reflux for 30 min After cooling the mixture was treated with 6 mL of aqueous 1N KOH. The mixture was stirred for 10 min and the solid was filtered out, washed with water, and dried, to give 0.80 g of 6-[(3,5-diacetylphenyl)amino]purine, mp dec 340°-350° C.
