Procedimiento

To a solution of 5-benzyloxy-2-bromo-4-methylbenzaldehyde (0.39 g) and N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)-alpha-phosphonoglycine trimethyl ester (0.38 g) in dichloromethane (2 mL) was added 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (0.18 g) at room temperature and this mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 days. To this reaction mixture was added 1 mol/L hydrochloric acid and the precipitated solid was collected by filtration, and washed with water, dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound (0.34 g).
