Procedimiento

To a solution of hydrazinecarboximidamide carbonic acid salt (14 g, 241.12 mmol) in pyridine (100 ml) was added 3-chlorobenzoyl chloride (15 g, 85.71 mmol), and the reaction mixture was stirred for 10 h at room temperature. The resulting mixture was concentrated under vacuum to give a residue, which was dissolved in water (30 ml) and adjusted to pH 12 with sodium hydroxide (aq., sat.). The product was precipitated and collected by filtration and dried in an oven under reduced pressure to afford 2-(3-chlorobenzoyl)hydrazinecarboximidamide as a light yellow solid (7.8 g, 43%).
