Procedure

3′-Fluoro-3,4′-dinitrobiphenyl-4-amine (285 mg, 1.03 mmol) was suspended in DCM (10 mL). K2CO3 (284 mg, 2.06 mmol) was added, followed by MeNH2 (40% in H2O, 10 mL). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 72 h. The solution was then washed with H2O and brine. The organic layer was dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford the product as a red solid (296 mg, 100%).
