Procedure

In a preferred manufacturing process, methylphenidate HCl and microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH-101) are blended in a Hobart Mixer. Purified water is added to the dry mixture and the wet granulation is extruded (MG-55 Multi granulator). The extrudate is then spheronized into pellets (Caleva Model# SPH250). The wet pellets are dried (Fluid Air Model#0050) and sieved (30 mesh<Acceptable<20 mesh).
