Procedure
206 g (1.39 mol) of vinyl trimethoxysilane and 300 ml of dry diethyl ether were charged in a 2 L four-necked flask equipped with a dropping funnel and a mechanical stirrer in a stream of nitrogen, and cooled to 0° C. 1.67 mol of the above prepared diethyl ether solution of isopropyl magnesium bromide was dropwise added thereto with stirring over a period of 120 minutes, and reaction was carried out at room temperature for 2 hours. After completion of the reaction, magnesium methoxide residue as a by-product was removed by filtration, and the obtained filtrate was distilled under reduced pressure to obtain 141 g (0.882 mol) of isopropylvinyldimethoxysilane as an aimed product. The yield was 63.5%.
