Procedure

A solution of 6-chloro-N-{(3S)-1-[(1S)-1-methyl-2-morpholin-4-yl-2-oxoethyl]-2-oxopyrrolidin-3-yl}naphthalene-2-sulfonamide [Example 1] (0.015 g) in THF (0.5 ml) was treated with diisopropyl azodicarboxylate (0.01 ml), 3-furanmethanol (0.004 ml) and tri-n-butylphosphine (0.008 ml) and shaken at room temperature for 60 h. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue purified by mass directed preparative h.p.l.c. to give the title compound (0.015 g) as a colourless gum.
