Procedure

To a solution of 110 mg (0.388 mmol) of 3 in methanol, 880 mg (10 eq) of 2,3-Dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 hr, and then the solvent was removed. Silicagel chromatography (hexane:EA=20:1) gave 4 as an orange solid with quantitative yield.
