Procedure

The (1S*,2R*)-2-(1-ethyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)cyclopentanol prepared in Example 37a was optically resolved with CHIRALPAK AD-H (Daicel Corp.; hexane/ethanol=8:2) to yield the title compound as a colorless oil.
