Procedure

Sodium citrate dihydrate was dissolved in nano-pure water to obtain 1.5% (w/v) sodium citrate. To the solution, Ga(NO3)3.9H2O was dissolved to obtain 1.5% (w/v) Ga(NO3)3. In addition, amino acids of varying hydropathy index were added to the solution and the pH was adjusted to 7.0 (Table 1). The concentration of the amino acid in the solution was 0.8% (w/v) in all cases.
