Procedure
Prepared in a similar manner to example 4 using 2,6-Dimethoxy-isonicotinic acid and D-leucine methyl ester. 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3): δ 0.92 (d, 3H, J=7.27 Hz), 0.93 (d, 3H, J=7.26 Hz), 1.41-1.58 (m, 8H), 3.95 (s, 3H), 4.08 (s, 3H), 4.15 (m, 1H), 6.43 (d, 1H, J=8.32 Hz), 7.47 (m, broad, 1H), 8.41 (d, 1H, J=8.34 Hz). MS (M+H; 311).
