Procedure

8.61 g 4-(6-Methoxy-pyrimidin-4-yl)-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester were stirred in 4 mol/L HCl solution in dioxane for 1 h. The precipitates was filtered, washed with dioxane and dried to yield 5.17 g of the desired compound.
