Procedure

A sample of the complexed mometasone furoate monohydrate stock suspension (4 g) was mixed with an appropriate diluent (27.2 g) (deionized water or saline (0.9% NaCl/deionized water (w/w)) and mixed thoroughly to obtain the 0.05% w/w mometasone formulations containing 0.097% HPMC, 0.002% sodium lauryl sulfate, 0.014% methylparaben sodium, 0.016% citric acid anhydrous, 0.009% potassium sorbate and approximately 0.5 ppm of 30% simethicone emulsion.
