Vorschrift

A reaction container equipped with a stirring bar and a thermometer was charged with water (683 parts), a sodium salt of a sulfate ester of methacrylic acid ethylene oxide adducts (ELEMINOL RS-30, product of Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd.) (16 parts), styrene (83 parts), methacrylic acid (83 parts), n-butyl acrylate (110 parts) and ammonium persulfate (1 part). The resultant mixture was stirred at 400 rpm for 15 min, resulting in a white emulsion. The white emulsion was then heated to 75° C. of an inside system temperature, followed by reacting for 5 hours. Next, 1% aqueous ammonium persulfate solution (30 parts) was added thereto, and aged at 75° C. for 5 hours to thereby obtain an aqueous dispersion liquid of a vinyl resin (copolymer of styrene-methacrylic acid-sodium salt of a sulfate ester of methacrylic acid ethylene oxide adduct) [styrene/acryl resin particle dispersion liquid]. The [styrene/acryl resin particle dispersion liquid] was found to have the volume average particle diameter of 14 nm through measurement with LA-920 (product of HORIBA Co.), the acid value of 45 mgKOH/g, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 300,000, and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of 60° C.
